Ricardo Schneider

President and CEO, Ricardo Schneider:
Ricardo Schneider holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. from UFRGS-Brazil, and Executive education from Harvard Business School. He joined Danfoss Turbocor in January 2009 after a very successful tenure with Danfoss where he had been since 1993 and where he held several different positions in three different countries. Ricardo started with Danfoss as Regional Sales Manager, and then moved on to be a General Manager, and finally as the Global Vice President of Danfoss Air Conditioning leading Danfoss to succeed in the competitive global air conditioning market by growing the business from $100 million to $380 million in less than 5 years, and by executing innovative strategies to address global climate and energy challenges. Prior to Danfoss, Ricardo was leading the R&D and Engineering teams of one of the largest refrigeration companies in Brazil where one of his main achievements was successfully transferring and implementing technologies from certain European manufacturers.

  


Doug Bishop

Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Doug Bishop:
Doug has extensive experience in HVAC sales, sales management, marketing, product management, strategy, and engineering/quality operations. Prior to joining Danfoss Turbocor in January 2010, Doug had a long and successful career at Carrier Corporation. He started as a sales engineer with Carrier Chicago in 1978, and then held increasingly challenging positions in sales management, marketing, and global product management for centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers in Memphis, Atlanta, and Syracuse, NY. Most recently he was the Director of Marketing and Engineering for Tyler Refrigeration, a division of Carrier located in South Bend, IN. In his capacity with Danfoss Turbocor, Doug leads the company's sales and marketing organization, serving customers in the comfort- and process-cooling industries in North America, Europe, Australia, China, and India. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Business (MBA) from Syracuse University.

 


Morten Knudsen

Vice President of Operations, Morten Knudsen:
Morten has 11 years of experience in manufacturing and logistics with various Danfoss A/S companies. In 2003 he was promoted to Director of Production, Gear set and Heat treatment, and one year later he assumed the responsibility for the production of small motors in Nordborg as Director of Manufacturing, Small motors and Gear set. Morten has been the project manager on several factory-wide implementation projects of LEAN manufacturing with significant improvements in quality, throughput time, and cost of manufacturing. Morten joined Danfoss Turbocor in 2007 and has been focusing on building an efficient purchasing organization and implementing LEAN manufacturing company-wide. In 2009 he was made responsible for Business Systems to support the continued development of world class practices at Danfoss Turbocor. Morten has a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Engineering from OT in Denmark.

 


Ken Koehler

Vice President of Quality and Customer Satisfaction, Ken Koehler:
Ken has 25 years of experience in quality and customer service. He spent 7 years in the United States Air Force as an electronics repair technician focusing on electromechanical avionic systems and supporting software. As a quality manager for major aerospace companies Ken has been responsible for developing and implementing Quality Management Systems for high power electromechanical systems. Applying his skills in these areas, Ken led DTC’s certification team in achieving ISO 9001 certification in 2008 and in attaining software system compliance IEC requirements. Ken’s responsibilities include maintaining and improving DTC’s quality system and customer support and service. Ken has a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University and a Masters degree in Systems Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. Ken is a senior member of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).

 


Huai Yu Lin

Vice President of Research and Technology, Huai Yu Lin:
As one of the two originators of the concept of the high rotational speed and non-contact efficient centrifugal compressor (which lead to a granted patent in the US and other countries), Huai Yu joined Turbocor in the early 90’s. He initiated and successfully implemented innovation that makes Danfoss Turbocor a market leader with a high performance/cost ratio advantage. Huai Yu has academic degrees and more than ten years of experience in developing and designing analog and embedded digital controls for power electronics systems and aerodynamic/thermodynamic/thermal transfer equipment such as evaporators, condenser heat exchangers, water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, and high speed (greater than 20kRPM) turbo machinery. His work has lead to patents in the field that places Danfoss Turbocor Compressors ahead of their competitors in performance to cost ratio.



 


Dr. Lin Sun

Vice President of Engineering and Product Development, Dr. Lin Sun:
Lin has 25 years of experience in mechanical and electronic engineering (Mechatronics). He joined Ron Conry’s turbo compressor development team in 1996. Since then, he has been responsible for magnetic bearing technology for Danfoss Turbocor. He has been actively involved in many areas of the Danfoss Turbocor business, from research and development and commercial engineering to manufacturing process, quality assurance, and product support. Since 2006, Lin has been responsible for the Danfoss Turbocor Engineering and Product Development department. Lin has ten years of academic experience in research and teaching of electronic engineering and mechanical engineering in Tsinghua University in China and Melbourne University in Australia. Lin has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics from Tsinghua University in China, and a PhD in Engineering from Melbourne University in Australia.
